a quiet place to sit
Nothing to learn, nothing to get right. Choose a length, and sit until the chime.
how to sit
- Find a seat, comfortable but alert. Let your hands rest.
- Close your eyes, or soften your gaze downward.
- Notice your breath. You do not need to change it, just notice it.
- Thoughts will come. Let them come, and let them go. Return to the breath, gently, as many times as you need to.
- When the chime sounds, you are done. Open your eyes slowly.
